A founder member of the Top Dog Football league, the Brockworth Coopers were the surprise package of seasons one through four, posting just one losing record - 6-8 in season two - and the only unbeaten regular campaign, in season four. That year ended in disappointment, however, after a tie with the Barrybados Benefitcheats denied them 14-0 perfection, and defeat to the Promunique Dragons in the high-scoring Dog Bowl IV meant that the team’s wait for the ultimate prize went on. A strong base squad in season five produced a swift return to the big game but, once again there was disappointment for the Coopers as the underdog Bucks claimed the title. Brockworth maintained its post-season appearance record in season six, despite coming up one game short of claiming another Payton-Dorsett title. This time, there was no return to the big game, however, as the yellow-and-black fell to the Diablos in the PD Championship game.
